We spent part of the day on a walking tour of downtown Puebla.  We walked 6 miles!  Here are pictures to give you a taste of what we saw.  Puebla is a beautiful city!

Today UPAEP (the university) put on a celebration for us.  It was lunch, which is their big meal of the day.  We tried all types of authentic food from Mexico.  It was so good!  They also had a mariachi band and a group of dancers that performed Mexican dances. 

Afterwards, we had a lecture on the Mexican education system.  We discovered that they are working on some of the same issues that the US is working on.  Tomorrow we begin our observations in the different schools--public, private, and a school for children with special needs.
